June 13, 2008 Dear Friend, We will host a lunch for Deni Nicoski, the investor relations executive of Barrick Gold, on Wednesday, July 2nd in New York. You may recall ABX cancelled their March 27th appearance at our conference two months ago as it announced its CEO's leave of absence that morning. Please phone or email me john@veryindependentresearch.com if you wish to join us. Enclosed are reports on Thompson Creek Metals, Duluth Metals and building permit variations by state. This next week I will travel in Australia to visit coal, iron ore, bauxite, alumina and aluminum smelting assets of Rio Tinto. Please feel free to contact my colleagues Joe Reagor or Sean Heberling at 732 444 1083 or my T-mobile (global) cell 732 740 3574 if you need any assistance. We have updated the design of our web-site, http://www.veryindependentresearch.com/, and created a new site http://www.veryindependentopinions.com/, for activities other than investment research such as our current Galway Resources merger advisory to sell its up to 200 mm lb molybdenum and tungsten property in New Mexico. We continue to organize our November 12, 2008 and March 31, 2009 investor conferences in New York, and have 26 companies confirmed among the two programs. Each agenda includes two companies with over $20 billion in market value, and a total agenda near $75 billion in market value. We expect to host 15 to 20 companies each day and have "room" to organize for another 10 to 12 combined across the two days. Faithfully yours, John C. Tumazos |
